While everybody else is shutting down for the summer, we're just ramping up! We have programs for everybody from middle school students to college students.

Scroll down and take a look and some of the things we'll be doing this summer. Also, be sure to say hello to our summer interns who are working hard to plan and run a lot of these programs! This summer, they'll be Kelsie Bickford, Chris Black, Jess Hoover, and Berit Nelson. Feel free to nag, uh... I mean, talk to them in the Student Ministries office.

Regular Events

Super Sundays Every Sunday starting on 6/22 after the 8 a.m. beach service, we'll head over to Upper Crust in Darien for bagels. Around 1 p.m., we'll meet again (probably at Baker Field) for frisbee or kickball or whatever we want to do! In the evening, we'll have a barbecue and some high school fellowship time.

Summer Harbor Missing Harbor? Never fear, middle schoolers! Starting July 2nd, Harbor resumes on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m!

Get Away Tuesdays The interns are preparing some awesome day trips for Tuesdays for everybody. Check out the the Summer Great Big Book of Everything or call us to find out dates and times.

College Fellowship Monday nights, come over to the Shac for food and scripture.

High School Bible Study Thursday nights, some small group time and food. Starting July 10th at 7 p.m.

Summer Trip Details

Fun in the Son For the second time the high school students will be heading to Fun in the Son, this time in Ocean City, NJ. We will be joined by a thousand other high school students where we will hear some awesome music, incredible speakers and artists, have a great time on the beach, get together in small groups, and make new friends. We will leave after the beach service on June 29th and return late on July 3rd. We will be driving and taking buses if needed. The cost for the trip is $500 which covers everything except a few meals, souvenirs, and late night pizza. The deadline to sign up for this trip is June 9th, and it's open to all current 8 - 12th graders.

Vacation With a Purpose We'll leave Sunday morning after the beach service and spend two days traveling to Dunlow, West Virginia; and as you may know, half the fun is getting there! Dunlow is a village nestled in one of the poorest regions of our country. Once we arrive, we spend some time preparing to welcome 60-100 children and teens from the local area. Every day we will organize a Vacation Bible School, play games with them, help them make crafts, perform hilarious skits, teach them about Jesus, feed them, and finally take them to the local pool. In the evenings we get to hang out together in and around our cabins, go out to dinner, and even have some camp fires. This summer wil be NPC's seventeenth year running a Vacation Bible Summer Camp Program in West Virginia. Housing is in cabins at a nearby state forest. This trip will be one of the highlights of your year, and the memories will last a lifetime. The cost for this trip is $225. Please check out the information packet for more info!

The Great Escape in Jonestown, PA is a week packed full of fun at the University of Pittsburgh. We'll start our days with large recreation activities on one of the many plush fields on campus, move into large and small group meeting times in the afternoon, enjoy some free time for playing sports, then wrap up with a large, powerful evening filled with music and a message. You'll also enjoy a free day to explore the local area! This is an incredible trip for students that have been in church all their lives along with those that are just beginning their journey of faith. We will leave early on Monday, August 4th and return in the afternoon of Saturday, August 9th. The cost for this incredible trip is $500 and includes everything except meals on the road, souvenirs, and candy addictions.
